There is a two-story Daiso right near my home, so I go there pretty often.
I always tell myself, “I only need one thing.”
That is usually a lie.
Five minutes later, I am looking at snacks, bowls, cute plush toys, and things I definitely did not plan to buy.
The Store

This Daiso is clean, bright, and easy to walk around.
The tableware section always looks simple and tempting. Plates, bowls, cups — everything looks useful when the price is low.
That is the problem.
Daiso makes unnecessary things feel very reasonable.
The Snack Trap

The snack aisle is where my basket starts getting heavier.

There were Turtle Chips and a lot of other Korean snacks on the shelves. If you are curious about Korean snacks, Daiso is an easy place to start without spending too much.
You think you are just looking.
You are not.
You are probably buying snacks.
Cute Things Everywhere

Then there are the plush toys and cute little items.
Did I need them?
No.
Did I still look at them for too long?
Yes.
This is why Daiso is fun. It is not just a store for things you need. It is also a store for things you suddenly decide you need.
One Small Downside
The only small downside is that popular items can sell out quickly.
Sometimes I go in looking for something specific, but it is already gone. Daiso is cheap and convenient, but if an item is popular, you may have to visit again or check another store.
Not a huge problem, but still slightly annoying.
Final Thoughts
I always joke that when I go to Daiso, I buy everything except the thing I actually came for.
But honestly, I am not complaining.
The prices are cheap, the store is convenient, and there is always something fun to find.

Very satisfied.
Slightly dangerous for my basket.
Just do not expect every popular item to be in stock.
